Our Story

The Indian Food Services industry is a ~$60 Bn industry which is still growing at an exceptional rate. But, the surprising fact is that the industry faces a high closure rate - almost ~80% in the first 18 months of operations. High operational risk, new age cloud kitchen models, and a booming online food economy have made a strategic shift for the existing players essential. In light of the recent dynamic yet opportune development, we came up with Kitchen XS.

At Kitchen XS, we aim to offer access to scalability & prosperity to restaurant brands by revolutionizing their current state of kitchen operations through high tech innovations, and by bringing the highest level of operational efficiencies, thus ensuring that their food is made available to a consumer at a touch of their finger across the nation.

Leadership

Ankush Mantoo CEO, Co-founder

Ankush has 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry. Before starting Kitchen XS, he had a successful stint at entrepreneurship in Dubai, where he started two restaurants in Dubai and scaled them to reach profitability in the shortest amount of time. He was the Head of F&B Operations at Jumeriah group, where he operated several F&B brands and played an integral role in launching Dubai’s most exquisite restaurants. His dedication to the industry led him to win various accolades and coverage across the Dubai hospitality industry & was recognized as one of the youngest restaurant managers in Dubai hospitality industry. With his love for food, he aspires to transform the industry with his unique insights and experience. He is an alum of the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, Dubai.

Abhishek Bansal CSO, Co-founder

Abhishek has 4 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to starting Kitchen XS, he worked with Merisis Advisors, an Investment bank based out of Mumbai. He was a part of the technology team and played a key-role in equity fund raise advisory and strategic consultancy to the new age enterprises in consumer technology & logistics sector. While working with the new age food – tech companies, he realized the challenges faced by the hospitality sector and inspired him to leverage his learnings and skills to make a difference in the F&B space. He is a B.Com.(H) graduate from Delhi University and has cleared all 3 levels of the CFA exam.

CHEF RAJESH NAYAK CORPORATE CHEF

With over 15+ years in Hospitality Industry, Chef Rajesh is someone who loves & breathes food. His Culinary expertise & innovation skills led him to work for the biggest names in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Kitchen XS, he was working with Kitopi, where he played a significant role in launching & operating multiple kitchens for Kitopi across Dubai. Prior to Kitopi, he was working with Jumeriah group, where he managed multiple restaurants across his tenure. His kitchen management skills & multi – cuisine expertise makes Chef Rajesh a perfect fit at Kitchen XS. Chef Rajesh is a graduate of IHM, Mumbai and holds multiple different accreditations & certifications in hospitality industry.
